2nd Annual Capital Champions for Children
Awards Luncheon

DC Action for Children hosted its 2nd Annual Capital Champions for Children Awards Luncheon on Friday, February 16 at the Madison Hotel in Northwest, Washington. Over 200 guests, amazing performances from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts' Choir, an address from our new Mayor Adrian M. Fenty and heartfelt tributes to this year's luncheon awardees made this event a huge success! The 2007 honorees included Councilmember David A. Catania, Council Chairman Vincent C. Gray, Beatriz "BB" Otero and The Moriah Fund.

The Capital Champions for Children Awards Luncheon honors and celebrates leaders in our community who work hard to ensure that our children are safe, educated, nurtured and healthy. Additionally, the luncheon helps DC ACT raise vital funds for its advocacy efforts for Washington's children and youth.
