5 Promises to Kids Campaign

In the coming year, our city will experience significant change in its public leadership as a result of mayoral elections and significant changes in city council leadership. These changes will have an immense impact on how the city delivers services and programs to children.

In preparation, DC ACT has launched an innovative and engaging campaign called the 5 Promises to Kids Campaign. The campaign is designed to encourage newly elected officials to prioritize the needs of children in our city. Beginning July 31, DC ACT released one promise per week to the media, our partners, supporters and the general public. You can learn about each promise by selecting the link below. After the elections, when our new leaders are in place, DC ACT will continue its advocacy, using the 5 promises as a framework for our policy and budget work.

For more information about the campaign, please see our campaign page.
